Katherine Brown

Katherine is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and Certified Play Therapist under the supervision of Jennifer Cain, LPC-S, RPT-S. Katherine graduated from Sam Houston State University with a master’s degree in clinical mental health. She has extensive experience working with children of all ages using the child-centered model, an evidence-based approach. In working with adolescents and adults, Katherine utilizes solution-focused strategies from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with a person-centered approach.  She specializes in emotional regulation/expression, behavioral issues, relational difficulties, transitional issues, aggressive outbursts, depression, anxiety, neurodivergence, social skills, self-esteem, trauma, and parenting support.
