Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy

Skill-Building, Support, and Behavior Strategies for Lifelong Success

At Woodlands Psychotherapy and Brain Training, we provide high-quality Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy designed to help children and teens with autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), and other behavioral or learning challenges build meaningful skills and reduce problem behaviors.

Our ABA services are rooted in compassion, collaboration, and evidence-based practices—delivered by trained professionals who care deeply about helping your child grow and thrive.

What is ABA Therapy?

ABA is a scientific, structured approach to understanding and improving behavior. It helps children learn and strengthen skills like:

  • Communication

  • Social interaction

  • Self-help and independence

  • Coping and emotional regulation

  • Following routines

  • Reducing unsafe or disruptive behaviors

Our approach is never cookie-cutter—we tailor every plan to your child’s unique needs, strengths, and family values.

Who We Help

We work with children, teens and adults who may be experiencing:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

  • Intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD)

  • Behavior challenges at home, in school, or in the community

  • Delays in communication, play, or self-help skills

  • Difficulty with transitions, routines, or attention

Whether your child has a formal diagnosis or you're still in the evaluation process, we’re here to help guide you.

Our ABA Services Include

  • Comprehensive Behavioral Assessments (FBAs): To understand why behaviors occur and identify skill-building goals.

  • 1:1 ABA Therapy with RBTs: Delivered in-home or in the community, guided by your child’s individualized treatment plan.

  • Supervision and Treatment Planning by BCBAs: Board Certified Behavior Analysts lead all programs and monitor progress.

  • Parent Training and Coaching: So you can feel confident and supported in using strategies at home.

  • Collaboration with Schools and Other Providers: We believe in team-based care and regularly coordinate with teachers, SLPs, psychologists, and pediatricians.

What Makes Us Different: Integrated Brain and Behavior-Based Care

At Woodlands Psychotherapy and Brain Training, we don’t just focus on behavior—we look at the brain behind it.

Through optional QEEG brain mapping and neurofeedback, we offer deeper insight into your child’s focus, regulation, and sensory processing. These tools help us:

  • Set more precise goals

  • Tailor strategies to your child’s unique brain

  • Track progress with clarity

  • Support emotional self-regulation when needed

This whole-brain, whole-child approach leads to more personalized care and long-term growth.

Where Services Are Provided

  • In-Home ABA Therapy: We meet your child where they are most comfortable and can learn naturally.

  • In-Clinic Assessments: Our clinic provides a calm, supportive space for intake, evaluation, and occasional sessions.

  • Community-Based Support: Skill-building in real-life settings such as parks, grocery stores, or school environments.

We respect every person and child’s unique way of thinking, feeling, and experiencing the world. Our ABA services are:

  • Play-based and engaging

  • Trauma-informed

  • Consent-focused

  • Designed to build autonomy, not compliance

We do not use punishment-based methods or rigid behavior control. Our goal is to build skills that support quality of life, emotional wellbeing, and long-term independence.
